The MMOB Daily Quote - Raymond Burr

Raymond William Stacey Burr (May 21, 1917 – September 12, 1993)

Today's second
MMOB Daily Quote focuses on the Canadian-born actor best known for his work on the TV shows Perry Mason and Ironsides. I spend many, many hours watching him in reruns and especially loved the twisty plots and confession-pulling antics of Perry Mason.

To bring back your own memories of his work, here is a clip from Lying Can Be Fatal the first episode from Perry Mason:

Perry Mason: Season 1, Vol. 1 - Lying Can Be Fatal

Here are a few quotes from Mr. Burr.

"Try and live your life the way you wish other people would live theirs."

"I'm a fine guy to be an actor. Can't stand to have my picture taken."

On the innocence of Perry Mason's clients "Perry is rather judicious in picking his clients and happens to believe correctly. What would you want us to do? Send an innocent man to the chair?"

when asked by a female fan why Perry Mason won every case "But madam, you only see the cases I try on Saturday."

Cheers! - Jason
