The MMOB Daily Quote - Salvador Dali

Today's MMOB Daily Quote spotlights renowned Spanish surrealist and strangeman Salvador Dali (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989)

You are likely familiar with some of his works - his images of melting and exploding clocks have always been among my favorites - but have you seen him in video? Here's a short
YouTube clip of Salvador on the 1950's game show What's My Line?. I think you'll see why the word surreal applies to him in real life too.

And now, some quotes from the wild and wacky Mr. Dali to get us all started this Monday morning.

“I don't do drugs, I am drugs”

“There is only one difference between a madman and me. The madman thinks he is sane. I know I am mad.”

“Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.”

“There are some days when I think I'm going to die from an overdose of satisfaction.”

“It is not necessary for the public to know whether I am joking or whether I am serious, just as it is not necessary for me to know it myself”

“Let my enemies devour each other.”

“I shall be so brief that I have already finished”

“Happy is he who causes a scandal”

“Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing.”

“At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.”

“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.”

Cheers! - Jason
